Hello fellas, thank you everyone for your responses to my previous blog(The most amazing trip, not an itinerary). As promised this blog will help you sort out your bucket list(umm really?) and guide you on how to make best out of your trip
People are often confused between visiting either north or south goa. But in my previous blog i told you to plan trips by dividing separate days between north and south goa. Dividing days is a good way to make most of your stay because.
A. Goa is not a big state.
B. You can drive through entire coast within 5 hours at
ease.
C. Both parts reflect different flavours.
D. Get over with your hangover and go outside.
North goa is the party capital of India and gives you all sorts of vibes. North goa resembles scenic beauty of it's beaches, foot thumping music and a taste of Bohemian and Mexican vibe all time(but this isn't mexico and you ain't Escobar).
South goa is a complete opposite, if you want to get the essence of goa(Traditional to be specific) do visit south goa and at least give two days to it, there are many experiences that you can witness and participate in such as lavish casions, lip smacking Sea food, beautiful churches and many more things to do.
In this blog i have covered almost every thing that I've had experienced and found quiet amusing.
Pro tip- Goa is known for its scenic beauty, culture and vibes. So please don't involve yourself in any other activities as they are mostly fraud. (Be careful when you roam around at night). These kind of experiences would make an impact very negative cause of the (often unconsidered) repercussions.
So below are some of things you can do in Goa. These are my personal experiences.
(Distance from airport to north Goa - Approx 35Kms to major areas
Distance from airport to panjim- Approx 27kms
Distance from airport to south goa extremes- Approx 59Kms)
1. Sinquerim beach(north):-
Sinquerim beach is my favorite place in goa, been there for the second time and the vibes are breathtaking, the most amazing sunsets are to be witnessed hair with cold air waving at your face at the golden hour(time for a selfie). It's like a therapy to your mind and soul. It's a beach located in Candolim and near to fort agauda.
2. Baga(north)
Baga comes under the jurisdiction of calangute and is a crowded beach and only 2kms to calangute,
The best time to come at baga is before dawn, it's still crowded but man it's beautiful and you can spot people doing yoga, playing football(as a football maniac that's a great sight) even we meditate there for about 10 minutes and it was such an amazing experience. Also there's a bunch of cafes and shacks to compliment your view.
3. Calangute(north)
Calangute feels like the soul of north goa. It's located between Candolim and baga. It's a happening beach and a close clone to baga. The vibes are amazing. It had a great number of shacks, cafes and restaurants with lip smacking food and drinks that help you get synchronize with the entire atmosphere.
4. Arambol(north)
Arambol beach is a bit far from the center of north goa approximately 30kms from there, but if you want to isolate yourself from some crowd then it's a perfect place as it's little crowded.
5. Fort aguada(north)
Fort aguada is a well preserved Portuguese fort. It also has a upperfort which caters to watering stations, a lighthouse, an underground water chamber and it is the same place where dil chahta hai was shot(Read history also)
6. Grande island
You can travel to grand island through boat it's a beautiful island in arabian sea and it cost Rs. 1300 per person trip. The trip is inclusive of many different activities like Snorkeling, fishing, Dolphin spotting, lunch , drinks and also all taxes. The costing of Grande Island tour in Goa reduces for group bookings.
7. Club LPK(north)
There's a different vibe when you enter LPK, there are historical scriptures and old church like structures in the backdrop. Entry charges for couples are 1500 including unlimited drinks. So go and dance your blues away.
8. Visiting heritage sites(south)
There are many architectural structures to marvel about with various cathedrals such as,
The Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, Wax World Museum and Shri Manguesh Temple are some of the sites you can explore.
9. Trekking at cotaigo wildlife sanctuary (south extreme)
Trekking away from a hill station and at a coastal site seems unorthodox but wild. It is located in south goa at the Karnataka border so it's much far away from the city. And you have to dedicate a full day to this place. Yes later at night you can go to beaches to enjoy tasty sea food and booze around.
The place throws in an opportunity for you to do some wildlife spotting, a trek, soulful swim in the river, and more.
10. Dona paula(south)
It offers a lookout and promenade and a great sight to witness fishing, watersports and many such activities it's a typical goan point and you can spot many vloggers and bloggers there. It's the same place where singham was shot.
11. Cycling(south)
There are many cycling expedition and cycling tour in south goa starting from Rs. 1500, there's a tour across chorao island(start your trip from soccour church), then there's a trip of old goa(from divja circle) and across nerul creek(prefer evening time). There are packages available thorough net and also various offices located.
Pro tip- Apply sunscreen, sunglasses and your skin will thank you.
12. Other experiences
As i mentioned in the blog it's all about experiences, you can experience the trek at dudhasagr fall trek, you can experience water sports(scuba is a must), experience the massages and spa, go on and explore the markets in south goa and porvorim. There are varios casinos over the cruise in south goa. One of the most popular is deltin royale, it cost about Rs.2000(week days) and Rs.3000(weekend)
